In today's reading, Sarah Young called time a "sacrifice." As I focused on this minute sacrifice of time that I can give to my Lord, I began comparing it to our
Lord's sacrifice for us. It was and eye-opening experience!
In a recent class, we studied the book, "Invitation to Solitude and Silence" by Barton. It contains a lot of information about the importance of spending time with God in silence and solitude. The thing I most appreciated was that it didn't just say "Do it!" but it gave practical guidelines and practices that have already helped me and others.
Today's devotional inspired me make a new commitment to daily
sit quietly in God's Presence so that I might "delight" in Him. I pray that you will join me in making that kind of sacrifice.
