Can We Be Healed?

Have you ever asked God to heal you or a loved one - of  some kind of "brokenness," in your life or theirs? Today's devotional reminds us that God's healing hand is available to us and to others. However, we are sometimes not healed because we don't ask - and at other times we ask but are not healed in the way we want! (That's one I want to ask about when I get to meet my Lord!)

I do believe that God does provide healing - through prayer, medicine, doctors, friends, etc. I have had numerous physical issues during the last 3 or 4 years, and I and many others have asked for God's physical healing. I haven't been healed the way we have asked, but I have been blessed/healed with a remarkable peace and joy in my life as it is. In addition, I am more grateful than ever for being able to still walk, talk, stand upright, etc.!

Today's scripture from 2 Corinthians 12:9 has become especially meaningful to me in recent years. God told Paul that "My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in weakness." When I really grasped the meaning of those words, it was almost life-changing in that I understand that God can still use me even as I get older and am not able to do what others can do. I praise God for that reassurance!

Do you have a story to share about receiving the gift of healing of some kind of "brokenness" for either you or someone you know?
