What's On Your Mind?

One of the key points of today's devotional is the importance of keeping our mind focused on our Lord rather than on things of the world. That sounds so easy but with technology and media telling us how to think and what to do, it is quite a challenge! An additional scripture that tells us exactly on what to keep focused is Philippians 4:8-9:

"Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies." (The Message)

The need to study God's Word is brought out in today's passage from Psalm 119:105. I think I have previously mentioned a beautiful song using these words: "Thy Word is a Lamp Unto My Feet." Please take time to listen to these words that can help guide our lives.
