Today's scripture passages are reassuring reminders of God's Loving-Presence with me - no matter what. To embrace and truly believe loving Promise of His is such a comfort in that we know that we have nothing to fear - even as our life changes and the world changes!
Please take time to re-read these scriptures today and throughout the week. Also, if you have other passages which relate to this wonderful Promise of our Lord, I hope that you will share them.
I have to wonder if the ever changing state of our earthly relationships makes it difficult for us to grasp the consistency of God's presence and unchanging status?
ReplyDeleteA scripture I often return to is Isaiah 43 which reassures me that no matter the conditions in my life I have a Savior. BG
Thank you for your comment and scripture. You certainly asked a good question for everyone to ponder. For me, the answer is: Yes, it is difficult to truly understand and accept God's Promise of His everlasting Presence and love - with all the changes going on in my life and the world! However, I thank God daily for His Promises.
DeleteRecently I was facing a series of changes and felt overwhelmed. I discovered Exodus 33:14 in the Message Bible: "God said, `My presence will go with you. I`ll see the journey to the end.`" This promise of God's changeless presence blessed me with a growing sense of peace and calmness. This did not eliminate problems and frustrations, but I had an underlying sense that God would guide and sustain me. MEB
