One of those "facts of life" is that adversity comes to everyone - but to some people a lot more than others! I am on my church's prayer team, so when I start feeling sorry for myself, all I have to do is go back to the list of prayer requests and again pray for this mass of people from one church. It is appalling and often heart-wrenching to have a closer look at what people are going through.
Today's devotional reading really ties closely to the one from yesterday which was a reminder of God's never-ending love and Presence. Today's words that were most reassuring to me were, "..rest in the shadow of My Almighty Presence." What do you do to rest in the Lord when you are in the middle of adversity?
