It seems that if I walked only by what I see in this hurried,
fear-filled world, I could not make it through the day! I and several
friends agree that we don't know how people survive without God's Love
and Presence. Along with that is the power of prayer. I truly believe
that we can feel that Peace and Presence that can only come from our Lord through our prayers and those of others who are praying for us.
During three hospital stays in the last two years, I have had a most "unlikely"
peace. Even when the doctor told me that he thought I had a very serious
illness (though that was not true), I still felt a wonderful peace. It
was only later that I thought through the fact that many people were
praying for me. I praise God for the power of prayer!
Today's devotional and scriptures spoke clearly to me about not having to depend on my own strength but rather depend on God's. I seem to have less and less of my own energy each and everyday. Therefore, it is only through God's Spirit that is empowering me to keep on - keeping on!
Do
