I think God is trying to tell me to "enjoy" life and to receive His
most generous Love and Joy! Last year, my Sunday School
class studied a book on joy (Choose Joy by Kay Warren), and I
have read articles, emails, and devotionals all related to joy. Additionally, several friends have given me "joy" plaques, magnets, & pictures.
Today's
devotional and scriptures remind us to "Be still, and know that I am God." All we need to do is rest in our Lord and receive His blessings. This sounds so easy but many of us are so busy with life that we don't think we have time to "rest in the Lord" - and to receive His Joy.
Have you ever sat in a room with a group of children singing, "I've Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Down in My Heart?"
You can see God's Joy beaming from their eyes! It's one of those old
children's songs that "make" the singers feel His joy! I hope and pray
that you will experience God's Joy as you worship Him today.
