Some of the words that spoke particularly to me were those about staying in CONTINUAL communication with God - and fill that time with our gratitude to our Lord for His many blessings.
If we stay in communion with Him, that must mean that we are constantly aware of His Presence - which "leaves no room for fear."
We know that there are numerous references to "not worrying" and being at peace in the Bible. I've listed a few of these verses and hope that you will share others that are especially meaningful to you. I have found what tremendous helps some of these are to me especially in difficult times - and if I have them memorized.
- Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?"
- Matthew 6:27 "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
- Matthew 6:28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. The do not labor or spin."
Luke 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell
you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about
your body, what you will wear..."
Luke 21:14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand
how you will defend yourselves.
Philippians 4:7 You will experience God's peace, which is far
more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace
will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you
trust in Christ Jesus.
