Today's scripture passage from John 16:33 especially spoke to me. We
know that as long as we live in this world, troubles do come along. We
also are reminded that only through our Lord Jesus overcoming the world,
we "may have Peace."
A hymn related to the Season of Lent and to today's devotional is "Take Time to Be Holy." In both of these we are told that our Lord wants us to live focused on His Presence. In order to do this we need to take the time
to be Holy - and "speak oft to the Lord." I pray that we will all make it a priority to take the
time to focus on these words from the devotional, scriptures and this
hymn in our worship today. I also pray that we may all take that most important time to sit in the Presence of our Lord.
