On many days, I become so busy and distracted that I don't take the
time to enjoy God's miraculous blessings: blooming flowers, a beautiful
sunset, a new life, a life that has recovered from illness, etc! That might also
mean that I don't let God know how grateful I am for His Spirit and all
His blessings. This is when taking time for solitude to be with my Lord
is a must in my daily life (as was discussed in yesterday's blog).
A
spiritual discipline is one that is done on a regular basis - hopefully
daily. It is through solitude, prayer, Bible reading, and meditation
that I can feel God's Spirit and recognize that His Spirit is directing
my life. It is through this kind of discipline that we can be
"overflowing with gratitude!" Are you ready to join me in making this
kind of solitude (including a time of gratitude) a spiritual discipline in your life?
