Many relevant thoughts spoke to me in today's devotional and scriptures. I began thinking about "attacks" on our mind in our present day world - especially during the Christmas season! I heard stories about people getting seriously injured from shopping "frenzies" in which shoppers sometimes push, shove, knock down, etc., others who are wanting the same item at a store. Why does this happen in the name of Christmas? What "attacks" our minds so much that we allow ourselves to get caught up in this kind of behavior?
I pray that we enjoy this time of celebration of the birth of our Lord by honoring Him in our thoughts and actions. Let's join together in drawing near to Him through calling upon His name so that we "will be filled with inexpressible and glorious Joy."
Please listen closely to this beautiful hymn as you begin your prayer time: "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, There's Something About Your Name."
