I somehow think that God is speaking today especially to me (since
its my birthday) and all the other Christians who continue to be
"worriers!" The words that were so refreshing to me in today's reading
were those telling us to suffuse/fill God's Light and Presence into our
worry-thoughts. Of course, Jesus' words about worry from Luke and other
gospels are so direct and clear that there is no way to misunderstand!
In today's devotional, Sarah Young especially refers to "future-oriented worries." I pray that you will join me in stopping to look at our worries to discern which are real and which are things that might happen in the future.
Everyone
has worries and concerns at various times in our lives. How do you cope
with worry? Please share your thoughts with me and other readers who
are seeking to get rid of that lifelong "worry habit."
