I often get frustrated at myself when my focus isn't on God but on worldly things - even though I have been taught to do better. This reminds me of times when my children were young and did something foolish - after being taught differently. - I still loved them as our Lord still loves us!
Today's reading reminds us that we have Jesus who intercedes for us - and will "sympathize with our weaknesses." After all, He has gone through much greater temptations than we can imagine! Other words that especially spoke to me in today's devotional are "Each time you plow your way through the massive distractions to communicate with Me (God), you achieve a victory."
As I was reading today's devotional and scriptures, I thought of the beautiful old hymn, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus." What a blessed reminder for us to keep our eyes, heart and mind focused on Him.I praise God for the most Precious Gift of His Son who is our Helper and loves us no matter what!
