Hope in the Lord!

It seems that we all need hope to survive life's many up's and down's! I may have previously shared the story of my father at the time that the doctor said would be his last hours on earth (though Dad did live a few months longer). We asked the hospital chaplain to try to talk with him early the next morning - even though he had been unconscious all night. When the chaplain asked my father (a non-church-goer) about his faith, my dad opened his eyes and said, "My only hope is in the Lord." This reassurance is what my family needed to give us peace when my father passed from this earth to be with our Lord.

Today's scripture from Romans 15:13 spoke so clearly about the hope that our Lord promises us: "...that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." Can you imagine life bubbling over with that hope that our Lord can give us?
