I've always thought it was strange that some people really seem to
like me - while others really do not! I'm the kind who has always wanted
to please everyone around me - family, neighbors, church friends, etc. I
get quite upset when I realize that I am not pleasing to some of those
around me.
Today's devotional made me think about this desire to please people on earth in a different way - that in some ways it "dampens"
our desire to please our Lord! What a good reminder that our goal
should be to try to see ourselves through the eyes of our Loving God and
receive His Peace. This isn't likely to happen if we spend our time
trying to do what others want and to please them.
I pray that you will take time to enjoy the beautiful words of "Have Thine Own Way."
It is a wonderful prayer/hymn. If you have other hymns or scriptures
