Today's devotional reading and scriptures are wonderful reminders of
God's greatest gift - His Presence with us in our joys and sorrows. The
scripture from 2 Corinthians adds a very special element to this Gift of
His. It tells us that God "comforts us in all
our troubles, SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT THOSE IN ANY TROUBLE WITH THE
COMFORT WE OURSELVES HAVE RECEIVED FROM GOD."
Does
the power of that passage speak to anyone else besides me? It makes it
so clear that we ARE to share God's Love and Compassion with others by
being His hands and feet and mouth here on earth!
I focused on some of the words in the hymn, "Take Time to Be Holy" that were especially meaningful in my devotional/worship time today:
Take time to be holy, Speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in him always, and feed on His Word;
Make friends of God's children, Help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing, His blessing to seek.
I pray that you have time to focus on these beautiful words and music
along with today's scriptures as you strive to walk closer to our Lord.
