Today's scripture from Ephesians spoke especially to me: "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works." I'm
not sure that every minute of today is planned out by God - but I do
believe that He knows what will happen. I also believe that He gave us
free will to make choices about constantly seeking His Presence and
guidance. I think that's why starting the day with Him is so very
important! What is your opinion on God's will for your life?
In recent months, I have written about taking time for "silence and solitude" with our Lord. Our usual prayer time is when we ask God to do what we think He needs to do for us and others. However, the times of silence and solitude are ones in which we listen intentionally for the guidance of God. My spiritual director recently told me that she CANNOT start her day without that special quiet time with God. How do you start your days - and does it seem to make a difference in how the day goes for you?
