Running the Race by Staying Focused!

I know very little about running in a race except that you lose a lot of speed and direction by trying to see what the others are doing. I think that is what these scriptures and devotional are referring to - to keep our eyes focused on our Lord rather than watching what others are doing. In this "busy trap" kind of world, that's a tough commitment!

I have mentioned before the words in a beautiful hymn, "I'll Never Let Go of Your Hand." I praise God for His assurance that He won't let go of me even during the times that I lose my focus on Him.
