I have always loved today's scripture from Romans 12 when it says, "Do not conform any longer the the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
When I read it, I imagine myself as an entirely new person through the
work of the Holy Spirit in my life. The last part of that passage is
especially meaningful as it gives us the promise that by having this
"renewed mind," we will be able to pass the test for God's approval!
This reading is also a good reminder that this renewal doesn't happen
overnight but is all a part of our spiritual journey to walk closer to
our Lord.
Another meaningful part of this devotional
is the idea that anything we do during the day can be an act of worship.
