Staying Near to God!

I want to stay near to my Lord - and certainly want to feel His Presence with me wherever I go. However,  there are times that I feel alone. I once heard a pastor say that when we feel that way, it has nothing to do with God moving away from us but rather our moving away from Him. One way to keep this from happening is to make it a top priority to have daily time with our Lord - both praying to Him and then listening to Him in our time of silence and solitude.

The beautiful hymn, "Nearer My God to Thee" along with today's scripture passages are wonderful reminders that when we seek our Lord, we WILL find Him.

A friend also suggested to me, "Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord" as another one that fits closely with today's devotional. It is definitely one to which to listen when we need/want this reminder to see our Lord more clearly.
