"Enjoying" God's Presence

It made me sad when I heard a friend comment about having no joy in her life. She is a wonderful Christian lady, but I think she was thinking of joy and happiness as one and the same. Today's devotional is a good reminder that joy comes from the assurance that God is our refuge and that His everlasting arms hold us. This kind of joy is offered to us even while we are struggling with problems such as illness, pain, etc., family issues, etc.

Another friend told the story about having radiation for cancer. As she lay on the bed having this procedure, she envisioned being held in God's arms, and actually feeling His Love and Presence. She experienced
