The words that particularly spoke to me in today's devotional were about constantly communing with our Lord so that we can "transfer" our problems to Him. In discussing this in a Bible study group, one of our members talked about how she did quite well in giving her problems to the Lord. However, what sometimes happened is that she often "took them back!" After reflecting on her comment, I realized I also do a lot of giving worries and concerns to God but also a lot of "taking back!"
Today's reading also talks about how important it is to "fight" for this time with our Lord. In this busy world, we certainly have to "fight" against many things that take our time: television, computers, movies, work, and dozens of other activities. The big question is, "Where do we put our priorities?"
Do you have stories to share about times when you have been able to "transfer" your problems totally to God? When have you been "delighted" in the Presence of our Lord?
Yes! There are times when I delight in the Lord's presence! I am trhilled, and humbled! But there are other times when I feel God's absence, even though I do not doubt God's presence with me. Has anyone else had that experience? Usually this is when my schedule is packed. There is a wonderful article in today's New York Times entitled "the busy trap." Search for it on nytimes.com

Thanks for your comment. I appreciate your honesty about having times of feeling God's "absence." In a recent Bible study group, we had a discussion on this issue. After talking through it, we decided that the reason for that feeling is often not that God has left us but rather that we have left Him - usually through our own busyness.
