Am I Glorifying God - in All Things?

Today's devotional was most definitely a thought-provoking one! It caused me to question why I do the things I do. Is is to "look good" - or is it to serve my Lord?

The scripture in Matthew 6 was a powerful reminder about this issue: "Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men to be seen by them." A friend suggested the hymn, "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee" as one that ties into today's devotional. I pray that God will help us walk with Him and do all things in service to Him. Please share your thoughts on this issue that is still so prominent in our world today.

O Master, let me walk with thee
 in lowly paths of service free;
 tell me thy secret; help me bear
 the strain of toil, the fret of care.

2. Help me the slow of heart to move
 by some clear, winning word of love;
 teach me the wayward feet to stay,
 and guide them in the homeward way.

3. Teach me thy patience; still with thee
 in closer, dearer company,
 in work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
 in trust that triumphs over wrong;

4. In hope that sends a shining ray
 far down the future's broadening way,
 in peace that only thou canst give,
 with thee, O Master, let me live.
