Sarah Young's words that especially spoke to me in today's reading are "Hope is a golden cord connecting you to heaven...even when multiple trials are buffeting you." I'm not sure how people survive without that kind of hope!
As mentioned earlier in the week, I unexpectedly spent the last several days in the hospital. It is at times like these that I especially see my family, friends, doctors and all hospital personnel as God's hands and feet here on earth. They are the ones who give me their love and support and help keep that "golden cord" of hope connected to our Lord. I praise God for His Presence that continues to give us this kind of Hope.
The lyrics to the old hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul" are such beautiful reminders of being connected to our Lord. Please share any Christian songs or scriptures that give you assurance and hope in your life.
