As I started reading today's devotional, I immediately thought of some of the lines in the hymn, "In the Garden."
"I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses . . .
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!"
What a blessing to be reassured of God's Presence and Love and Light - by walking with Him!
Do you have another scripture or hymn that will help remind us of the importance of spending time walking and talking with Jesus?
Yes Pat! I suggest another hymn which thrills me with its more joyful melody! I quote the refrain of "He Live,"
ReplyDelete"He live, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, he lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know he lives? He lives within my heart."
Thank you for your suggestion of "He Lives." I found one version at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc1CBrtpkok. You might want to listen to the music and sing along as the lyrics are included. It certainly does have a joyful melody!
DeleteThanks for the link...if you ever heard me try to sing you would know the power of music enters through my ears, but does not flow from my mouth!!!!!!
