Today's reading tells us That God is present in many ways and places - and that we WILL find Him if we are really looking and listening! My problem is that I am often in such a hurry with life that I don't take the time to do that "seeking."
One of today's scriptures that especially spoke to me was, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13) At times I feel that He is far away, but then get reminded that He is always near and that it is I who have moved away.
This week, I enjoyed returning to Hot Springs where I spent a lot of childhood time with relatives and later lived there for a few years. What a joy it was to return to see old friends and relatives! It had been over 40 years since I had been on Lake Ouachita and taken in the beauty of the mountains, trees, and wildlife! What a wonderful time of seeing and feeling the love of our Lord through these special people and places! I praise Him for His presence and for this special time!
