Who/What Controls My Mind?

Today's scripture from Romans 8:6 spoke so clearly to me: "...the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace."  I had never thought about Sarah Young's words regarding the mind being the "most restless, unruly part of mankind." What's most disconcerting is that at times in my life, my mind is controlled by the media - computer, newspaper, magazine, television. These thoughts made me desire to have my mind controlled totally by God's Spirit!

A related scripture passage that has very helpful to me is from Philippians 4:8-9:
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
 Surely by asking for God's Presence in our mind and following this "command," we will have a mind filled with God's Spirit and Peace and Love. I pray that you will join me in this "quest."
