Do I Go Up or Down With My Problems?

I have never been able to really "welcome problems!" However, as I look back on many of them, I see that they have often drawn me "up" - to be so much closer to my Lord. I remember hearing this from a counselor many years ago when I was going through divorce. - He said that was a choice that I had to make and that I could either go "up or down"  - and even referred me to a book called, "Growing Through Divorce."

I don't know how people survive the many challenges of life without knowing and accepting God's Love, Word, and Presence. The beautiful hymn, "You Are My All in All" continues to be a comfort and reminder of  His Love and Power. The entire hymn is printed below the hymn on this link, but I wanted to include the first verse:
     You are my strength when I am weak
     You are the treasure that I seek
     You are my all in all
     Seeking You as a precious jewel
     Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
     You are my all in all.

I pray that God will fill us with His Strength and Light.
