Transforming Trials into Blessings

It seems that the devotional and scriptures from yesterday and today are closely connected in that they relate to trust -even through difficult times. I sometimes pray that the trials of the day can somehow be transformed into blessings. Today's reading reminds me that won't happen when I "moan and groan, stumbling along with shuffling feet!"

I start most days by thanking God for His wonderful blessings. However, as the day progresses, I often begin  "forgetting" some of the blessings and allowing my mind to focus on what might be in the future, or what I don't have, or having regrets about the past. A part of yesterday's scripture from Romans 8:6 says, "..the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." That's where I want to be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - to have my mind completely controlled by God's spirit - and to have that peace that only He can give. I know if I could do that one thing, it would change my whole being - including all my complaining - either to myself, friends - or to our Lord. Tell me, what do you think?
