Joy - No Matter What

Have you ever wished for more joy in your life? I'll have to admit that occasionally I have felt that way. I have also heard that comment from some older friends who have no family nearby and who have multiple health issues. Today's devotional is such a blessing in reminding us that God's Presence and Companionship "can infuse Joy into the grayest day!" I appreciate the scripture and also Sarah Young's words that sometimes we have to search for that joy "as for hidden treasure."

Today's reading and scripture reminded me of a wonderful song that children often learn in Sunday School. Even though it's written for children, it's one of those that might change a gloomy day to a bright one for children and adults. I hope that you enjoy this delightful video of  "I've Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Down in My Heart".

  1. It seems to me that joy is a serendipitous gift! We can plot and plan for happiness; however joy is a deeper reality which we cannot produce on own own. With God's grace, joy can become an attitude toward life itself.
