I think most of us would like to think that we can control our own lives - and many times the lives of others in our family. There is an old saying to the effect that "When I finally think I have it all together is when it all falls apart!" As I have gotten older, I realize that this is what we call LIFE!
Today's devotional reminds me that God does make a way for us - if we trust Him and "stop clinging to old ways." I have heard today's scripture from Romans 8 read in sermons, at the hospital bed side, and in times of joy. What reassurance to know that NOTHING will separate us from the love of God!
