I Need You Lord - Every Minute of Every Day!

Many times in life, I have incorrectly thought that I could do almost anything - by myself!! However, I have been humbled time and again by the realization that I am NOT in charge of the world or my life or the lives of my family and friends!

Last week, I was visiting with my spiritual director and had a list of all the things I HAD to do in the coming days - with no consideration of my on-going health issues. She looked directly at me and said, "We have a Savior, but it is not you!" I couldn't decide if to laugh or cry, but have now decided that was some of the best "advice" I have ever received!

After reading today's devotional and scriptures, I pray that you will  focus on the words of the hymn, "I Need Thee Every Hour." As I listened repeatedly to these meaningful words, I realized that this is a powerful, awe-inspiring prayer that I need to listen to daily.
