Walking to the Edge of the Light

I recently heard a story about "going to the edge of the light." The essence of the story went something like this:
When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take a step into the darkness of the unknown,  we must believe one of two things will happen: there will be something solid for us to stand upon, or we will be taught to fly.
Based on today's scripture from John 8:12, we are assured that we will "never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." I praise God for that assurance that when things look the darkest, He is waiting to provide us "something solid to stand upon" - along with His Light and guidance to walk with us.

Do you have times that you felt that you were in darkness spiritually, but then God's light began to shine on you and in you again?
