Many of the devotionals in Jesus Calling refer to the topic of peace. I think there is a good reason for this - that we are all seeking the Peace that only God can give us! Today's devotional is such a blessed reminder that God's Peace "hovers over you, searching for a place to land." However, it is up to us to be still in the Presence of our Lord and ask Him to control our thoughts so that He can fill us with this Peace.
In addition to today's scriptures that are related to PEACE, the one from Isaiah 26 has repeatedly spoken to me and gives us such a clear guide for having God's Peace:
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
I pray that you will join me in allowing these words to dwell in our hearts as we focus on them. They also make up the essence of this beautiful hymn, "Perfect Peace." What do you do to help your mind stay on the Lord?
