Abundant Life - and Joy Unspeakable

Sarah Young's words speak so clearly about "searching for life in many wrong ways...fleeting pleasures...wealth...deny aging!" What blessed assurance we are given in today's scripture readings about living life abundantly. The passage from Matthew 11 has always brought comfort to me: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest...and you will find rest for your souls."  Every time I read these words, it feels as if Jesus is wrapping me in His loving arms and taking away so many hurts and anxieties.

The passage from I Peter 1:8-9 is the basis for a gospel song called "Joy Unspeakable." Here are the lyrics to the first verse and refrain:

I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth ev'ry need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus' feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.
